The Great Wolf Lodge

The day after Christmas we went to The Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine TX for two days. It is a huge family resort with an indoor waterpark. We had a blast! I wanted to get pictures of the waterpark area, but I was afraid the camera would get stolen while we were in the water. So you won't see the water area, but the rest of the hotel was so nice.

The hotel holds a storytime show for all the kids at 8:00 pm and it snowed in the lobby during the show, Tyler collected some of the snow on his head.

My New Year's Resolution

Okay everyone! With renewed dedication I am going to start blogging again. Now that we are far from our families we don't want them to miss out on the fun moments from the Youngs, so I have to post them. This first post will have pictures from Christmas 2011. I will also have to rededicate myself to taking pictures more often. Let's see how I do!

These next pictures are of our ride on the Christmas Train in Oklahoma City. We went with Susan and Cooper Williams and had a lot of fun. We saw Santa, had hot chocolate and heard "The Polar Express" while riding the train.

On Christmas Eve afternoon we went to Andy Alligator's to play games.

On November 7th Guard blessed Hadley. We were so happy to have Guard's parents and his sister Shay make the long drive from Utah to spend the day with us!

Jordan's Homecoming

For Jordan's mission homecoming we decided to have all his nieces and nephews wear animal print like the animals of Africa. Libby helped us put these cute outfits together for the three littlest girls. They were so adorable! Now that I am posting these pictures I realize that I never took a picture of Jordan! I guess I was too excited to see him.

Here's some pictures from our family Halloween carnvial. Amy did the ping pong throw. If your ping pong ball lands in a bowl you win the bowl along with the fish inside. We ended up with four goldfish who all died the next day.

Halloween 2010 sure was fun! Saturday went to Gridley Stake's "Bumper to Bumper Trick or Treat" with all the family. Then since Halloween was on Sunday, we had a family carnival at my parents' house. That might become a new family tradition! It was so much fun!

A rare moment-she's taking a nap! Hadley sleeps anywhere from 7-9 hours straight at night but during the daytime her naps are few and far between! It makes it hard to get things done but I'd rather have it this way than have her up at night!

Here's one of her first smiles. She smiles a lot at mom and now Tyler is thrilled that he gets her to smile at him too. They are buddies in the car because Tyler sits next to her and keeps her company. When he's not in the car with us she is very sad.

Here's Hadley all ready for church. I love picking out her dress to wear to church and the matching accessories! Thanks, Aunt Heather, for the beautiful flower to go on her headband.

Guard's induction into the BYU Hall of Fame

Guard was surprized last month when he got a call from the Cougar Club of BYU that he was chosen to be inducted into the BYU Athletic Hall of Fame. So the whole family flew out to Utah on Sept. 23 for the weekend. We had such a great time and we all went to the banquet at the stadium then the next day we got to go to the football game and sit on the 3rd row. At half time all of Guard's family and friends got to walk onto the field as they announced his name as a new member of the Hall of Fame!

Labor Day in Chester, CA

We decided to go up to Chester on Labor Day to visit the graves of Guard's grandparents. We have never been see the graves even though we only live 2 hours away. This is the grandfather that Guard is named for, so it was very special for all of us. Apparently the area is the birthplace of Paul Bunyon so we had some fun statues to take pictures with.

Tyler's first day of 1st grade!

Tyler is posing on his first day of school in front of his classroom. He was so excited to start first grade but it was an adjustment to stay all day at school. He got really mad when I told him it was time to go to karate class. He felt that he did not have enough time playing. I had to explain to him that 1st grade is longer than kindergarten and that play time will be shorter. It's hard growing up!

Tolman Family Reunion 2009, Stewart State Park, Oregon

My Dad's family reunion is held every two years usually somewhere in Oregon. We camp for about 5 days and this year it was at Joseph Stewart State Park in Oregon. This is near Shady Cove where my parents used to live and where Angela was born. It was beautiful, a lot of fun but very hot. Both Jaxson and Tyler loved camping!

Summer Sizzle 2009

Twice a year our gym, Youngsters, Inc. puts on a "meet" for the kids to participate in. There is no judging and every child who participates gets a medal at the end. It is a lot of fun for the kids and the parents get a chance to see what they have learned. Here's a few pictures from the meet. Look at that form!

We took our annual trip to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in July. They have the cuttest Thomas Town that Jaxson LOVES. Apparently Tyler has decided to go ghetto on us with his hat and peace sign. I think he has been spending too much time with his older cousin April (just kidding April).

We had a great 4th of July in Biggs! We watched the parade in the morning, the highlight being Tanner Smith spraying everyone with bug spray (really water) in the Sorenson's Pest Control Mouse Car with Josh McLean driving. Tyler got to ride too.
